Reference Material

A Visit to the Zoo.

I am always looking for reference material to base my paintings on. I am very grateful when photographers from all around the world give me permission to use their photographs as reference. Although I am no photographer, I do use my own photographs as well.

Yesterday I took a trip to Taronga Zoo in Sydney and spent a few hours photographing some of the animals.

I never tire of watching the Gorillas. They are so much like us! This lovely lady had such beautiful manners. She was picking her nose and eating it and then she picked some goop out of her eyes and had a taste of that too :)

I managed to get some fabulous photos of the gorillas and I am looking forward to using some of them.
