The Eradicator Brush
Watercolour Supplies for Beginners
The perfect brush to create highlights on watercolour paintings.
Let me introduce you to a little brush that I can’t seem to paint without…..the Eradicator brush……Ta daaaaa!
I discovered it a few years ago and it has made me wonder how I ever painted in watercolour without it.
This brush is perfect for creating highlights on a watercolour painting after the paint has dried.
It’s a flat, stubby brush with stiff bristles. It’s stiff enough to remove the dry paint but soft enough to not damage the paper.
I use it to create highlights and texture and I tidy up ugly edges and mistakes with it.
It’s made by Rosemary and Co and it is available in 4 sizes. I have the small and medium sizes and they serve me well.
You can find them here.
Here’s a little demonstration video:
I use them on just about every one of my paintings. I recommend adding them to your painting kit because I am confident you will find them just as useful as I do.
