Teach with Louise De Masi
Expression of Interest
We’re building the next chapter of the Louise De Masi Art School and are inviting expressions of interest from exceptional artists who are passionate about teaching.
Louise’s watercolour tutorials will always remain at the heart of the Art School, but our long-term vision is to expand the school by introducing carefully selected instructors who can offer complementary classes in other areas of art.
We’re looking for artists who not only produce beautiful, accomplished work, but who can also communicate clearly, inspire students and genuinely enjoy teaching.
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in hearing from highly skilled artists working in areas such as:
Drawing and sketching
Watercolour landscapes
Coloured pencil
Gouache
Acrylic
Oil painting
Pastel
Illustration
Other complementary areas of art education
You don’t need to already have an online course or a large social media following.
What matters most is the quality of your work, your ability to teach and your willingness to work collaboratively with our team.
More than simply hosting your course
Our instructors are supported through the entire course development process.
You’ll work with the Louise De Masi team using the LDM Method, our approach to creating clear, engaging and professionally structured art education.
We can help with:
Developing and refining your course idea
Planning lessons and learning outcomes
Structuring your demonstrations
Filming and presentation guidance
Course resources and downloadable materials
Editing and production
Publishing your course
Marketing to the Louise De Masi audience
Ongoing guidance and support
Our aim is to let you concentrate on what you do best, creating art and teaching, while we help turn that knowledge into a polished online class.
A genuine partnership
Instructor classes are sold individually through the Louise De Masi Art School.
Instructors receive a 50% share of course revenue, giving both the instructor and the Art School a genuine stake in the success of each course.
Louise De Masi Art School members may also be offered special pricing on selected instructor courses, helping introduce your classes to an established community of artists.
Who we choose
We want the Art School to be known for the quality of its teaching, so we are deliberately selective about the instructors we work with.
Expressions of interest are considered based on:
The quality and consistency of your artwork
Your understanding of your chosen medium
Your ability to explain techniques clearly
Your communication style
Your professionalism and reliability
The quality of your proposed course ideas
How well your teaching complements the existing Art School
Your willingness to work within the LDM Method
You don’t need to be an experienced online teacher
Some of the best potential instructors may never have created an online class before.
If you’re an accomplished artist with something valuable to teach, we can help you learn the rest.
We’re much more interested in finding the right people than simply finding people with previous online teaching experience.
Our long-term vision
The Louise De Masi Art School has grown from Louise sharing her own approach to watercolour into a worldwide community of artists.
Our goal is to build an enduring art school that continues to inspire and educate artists well into the future.
By bringing together a small group of exceptional instructors and supporting them with the same commitment to clarity, quality and thoughtful teaching that has shaped Louise’s own classes, we hope to create something that can continue growing for many years to come.
